About Us
Daniel Hsu is state licensed as a Doctor of Acupuncture (RI), a Licensed Acupuncturist (NY) and an Acupunture Guest Instructor (Il). He received a four-year Masters of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine (M.S.T.O.M.) degree from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in New York City and is currently a Doctoral Fellow at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine. In addition to being a Diplomate in Acupuncture and a Diplomate in Chinese Herbology, Daniel is among the first group of Americans to be a board certified Diplomate in Oriental Medicine from the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM), the most advanced level of certification available. Daniel is certified by the Council of Colleges of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (CCAOM) in Clean Needle Technique. Daniel is also a graduate of New York University, College of Arts and Science in New York City.
Daniel is an a professor at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine. His native fluency in both English as well as in Chinese creates a unique environment for learning Traditional Chinese Medicine.
While practicing in the Taiwan Municipal Hospital System, Daniel gained experience in Internal Medicine, Gynecology, Dermatology, Traumatology, and Pediatrics. His focus was in Acupuncture and Herbal Pharmacology. He also practices in the Acupuncture Clinic of the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine as a licensed acupuncturist and Doctoral Fellow. He is a strong believer in using Traditional Chinese Medicine in coordination with Western Medicine to treat disease and to maintain wellness.
New York AcuHealth Center's logo, which in Chinese calligraphy combines the words "longevity" and "good fortune," is an artistic representation of Daniel's philosophy that longevity, a result of good health, is synonymous with good fortune.
